Full day Gorilla trekking Safari

Full day Gorilla trekking safari is best when the visitor is already in Uganda. Therefore, the tour starts from Kabale or Kisoro towns where you buy simple snacks for your journey not forgetting a bottle of water. The towns are strategically located at the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. For each traveler is required to have 1 gorilla permit at $ 600 and its the main entrance to the park. There are many routes to reach in this park by road. It takes about 2-3 hours from Queen Elizabeth National Park and from Kampala through Mbarara are about 6 to 8 hours. There are mainly 4 habituated gorilla families including; Habinyanja, Mubare, Nkuringo and Rusengura. The park is open to the public on any day of the year however, its best in a dry season because you can easily maneuver through the park. There are over 120 mammals and more including the ones that have migrated, 27 species of chameleon, 348 bird species, 220 butterflies,  also lots of flora is found in the park that may not be in other parts of the country including; 1000 flowering plants, 163 tree species, 104 species of ferns and many more. Current the quatity of each increased due to reproduction and the gorillas the keep on spreading the seeds of the different plants. Common bird species include; the horn birds and the Turacos. Mountain gorillas are the most common primates here and the few are; colobus monkeys and chimpanzees
