7 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari 

Day 01: Arrival in Rwanda by a plane. 
Our representative from the company will be available already at the airport. The representative lifts the placard bearing your name for easy recognition. He will be pleased to receive and transfer you to Volcanoes national park on your day one of 6 Days Rwanda Gorilla safari. Have dinner and spend your night at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or any other nearby Lodge.

Day 02: Tracking of the endangered species(Mountain gorillas)
Head to park headquarters after breakfast for a briefing by the park ranger about the schedule of the tour such that it ends on time. This will include how you conduct yourself in the jungle-like being one meter away from the gorillas. To wrap it up, you briefed on the rules and regulations while in the park. All travelers on this day are grouped of about 8 people. This gives a chance for visitors to associate with others from a different country. The gorilla family to track is determined by the park ranger on that same day unless you have a specific gorilla group to track. The group to track is determined by the gorilla location the previous day. However, sometimes the gorilla family to be tracked depends on its size.

The professional park ranger makes sure the tracking of the endangered species ends on time such that you can embark on other interesting activities in the evening. These include being treated to the rich cultural songs and dance from the Banyarwanda Intore Dancers by the use of big heavy drums. Accommodation depends on where your evening has found you. Therefore, have dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / La Palme / Hotel Muhabura which are nearby.

Day 03: Tour the greatest primatologist’s (Dian Fossey) Grave
Since the majority of the tours begin from the morning, its advisable to have breakfast and embark on the visit to Dian Fossey’s grave at the Research Centre. She made extensive studies in the mountain forest of Rwanda. She conserved them by strongly disagreeing with poaching. Unfortunately, she was murdered by a poacher on 27 December 1985. More of her stories are narrated by the English speaking park ranger while on the hike and also when you have reached the Research Center. Expect to be transferred to Kigali City after having lunch at the Lodge.

Day 04: Visit to the National Museum 
After a simple delicious breakfast, head to southwards to Huye district. Have a glance of the Rwanda history at the national museum for a few hours. The guide explains more about the content detained in the museum and how they were used in the past years. Fortunately, some of the displayed materials are still in existence. The Rwanda tradition, culture, norms and beliefs are explained deeply. Have refreshments at Hotel Ibisbefore proceeding to Nyungwe Forest Lodge for your overnight stay.

Day 05: Chimp trekking
Because its chimp trekking transfer to park headquarters at Kanyanchu immediately after breakfast. You will be addressed by a park warden for like an hour.  Around 8:30 am, begin your hike into the bushy tropical rain forest. The park ranger will help you to identify easily chimps because of his experience in the forest. The forest doesn’t only contain the chimps but also more other animal species such as big troops of Angola colobus monkeys and the awesome bird species. Dinner is served at Nyungwe Forest Lodge and stays overnight.

Day 06: visit Genocide Memorial & Nyanza King’s palace.
Prepare for the journey back to Kigali city after breakfast however the tour starts from Nyanza King’s palace. The palace displays the measured treasured items in Rwanda. This includes the package about Rwanda’s history. Since the tour is for a few hours head to Gisozi memorial site in the afternoon. More is displayed that you should not miss on this safari to Rwanda. Have a different story to tale back in your country that everyone would love to listen. The night is spent at Hotel Serena.

DAY 07: End of the classic 7 days Rwanda Gorilla safari
Get ready and have souvenirs from Rwanda before the transfer for flight  at the airport
